Our Philosophy:
West Carleton Kids’ Korner (WCKK) was designed by working moms with working moms (and dads!) in mind. We understand how hard it is to juggle a family and a career, with the priority of wanting a safe, nurturing environment for your children. WCKK therefore offers a licensed childcare service, with qualified and caring staff, extended hours, part-time options and a stimulating program that encourages healthy eating, physical activity and learning through play. We want your children to be happy, safe and healthy, and we will work hard each day to ensure that their time at WCKK is a pleasant part of their childhood.
Our Vision:
We have transformed the upper level of the West Carleton Community Complex into the place to be for families in West Carleton. We opened in September 2007, with a Childcare Centre for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years and a Before and After school program for children ages 6 to 9. Moving into 2008, we plan on offering camps, birthday parties, parenting workshops, a French playgroup, music for kids and more!
Our Team:
Our Early Childhood Educators, Betty Anne Boisvert, Erin St-Aubin, Sheri Deline, Aleisha Lunney and Amanda Macechnie have been selected for their skills in providing stimulating, creative and nurturing activities for your children. They have current First Aid and CPR certifications and continue on-going professional development.
