Afterschool Program
Kids' Korner offers school-aged children between 6 to 9 years, a fun, social stimulating environment that emphasizes physical activity. WCKK is a designated drop off spot for many of the local schools.
Hours:
The Afterschool program goes from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. ** depending on individual bus schedules.
Ratio (staff to children):
1 to 15
Rates:
The daily rate is $10 per day, offered on a full-time basis only (5 days per week).
Snacks:
We provide one healthy snack in the afternoon. Our menu is posted on the front bulletin board in the daycare centre. WCKK's menu is designed to follow Canada's Food Guide and we are a peanut-free facility.
WCKK Team:
The program is facilitated by Stefani Guthrie, who has a Bachelor of Education. The ratio is 1:15 (staff to children).
Programming:
Activities include games, sports, crafts, free play and a snack time. The program is held in the Council Chambers, on the lower level of the West Carleton Community Complex, as well as in the outdoor soccer field.
The program runs during school days only and is not offered on PD Days, snow days, March Break or summer holidays.
