Before and Afterschool Programs

WCKK is a designated pick up and drop off spot for many of the local schools. We offer care for school-aged children ages 6 to 9, before and after school hours, for up to 15 children.

Hours:

Before school program runs from 7 to 9 a.m. The afterschool program runs from 2:30 until 5:30 p.m.

Rates:

Full-Time:

March Break and Summer	$160/week
PD Days	$30/day

Part-Time:

A limited number of part-time spaces will be available during the school year. A minimum of 3 days is required on set days each week. Rates are the same as full-time.

March Break and Summer Camp-Style Program:

Registered children of the Before/After School program will have the option of registering for the March Break and Summer Camp-Style Program. You can sign up for any number of weeks. There will be weekly special themes, activities, guest speakers and a field trip.

Snacks:

We provide one snack in the morning and one snack in the afternoon. Each month, our menu will be posted on the front bulletin board. Our menu is designed to follow Canada’s Food Guide. WCKK is a peanut-free facility. All other allergies are dealt with on an individual basis.

WCKK Team:

Our educators and facilities meet the requirements of the Day Nursery Act. Parents are encouraged to discuss any issues directly with their child’s educator.

Programming:

The before school program has free play and quiet play time. The afterschool program offers a homework period, snack period and outdoor and group activities (weather permitting). We also offer services for school-aged children on PD days, March Break and during the summer.
