Childcare Services:

We offer a full range of childcare services for children between the ages of 18 months to 5 years.

Hours:

The childcare centre is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. We offer a wrap-around Kindergarten program to accommodate Junior and Senior Kindergarten in either the morning or afternoon program.

Rates (per day):

Full-Time:

Kindergarten	Junior and Senior	$31 (annual, including summer)

Part-Time:

A limited number of part-time spaces will be available. A minimum of 3 days is required on set days each week. Rates are the same as full-time.

Family Rate:

WCKK offers the following family rate for more than one child:
First child:  Full Price
Each Additional Child: $1 less/day

Last-Minute Childcare:

If a space is available, parents who don’t have children registered in the childcare centre can arrange last minute daycare at a rate of $37 per day.

Snacks/Meals:

We offer 2 snacks each day plus lunch. Each month, our menu will be posted on the front bulletin board. Our menu is designed to follow Canada’s Food Guide. WCKK is a peanut-free facility. All other allergies are dealt with on an individual basis.

WCKK Team:

Our educators and facilities meet the requirements of the Day Nursery Act. Our licensed educators are in constant communication with parents to ensure that each child receives the appropriate care. Educators complete a daily agenda for each child to communicate to parents how children ate, slept and behaved during the day. Parents are encouraged to discuss any issues directly with their child’s educator. WCKK uses positive discipline techniques as dictated by a child’s personality and behaviour.

Programming:

Monthly themes and special activities are posted on the centre’s bulletin board.  During the summer, the children will get to participate in the Camp-Style program, with weekly special themes, activities, guest speakers and a field trip.  Participation depends on age-appropriate activities.
